Bishop Allen

Indie rockers Bishop Allen look at indie rock from a happy-dappy perspective, the same kind of perspective as Kimya Dawson and The Moldy Peaches. Half-joking, half-serious, they play with their guitars and make you think of sunny days.

At the same time, they’re very capable at straight ahead pop rock, smoothing the listener over with more contemplative, about-life lyrics and sounds.

As far as indie rock goes, they’re the best of both worlds. They know when to be ridiculous, and when to scale back and make you think about stuff.
