Get ready to float away with another big profile project from an industry gear turner, programmers! It’s Andy Gesner and the HIP Video Promo staff here with a new video from the collaboration of award winning composer, producer, singer/song writer and multi-instrumentalist Nitzer Ebb’s Bon Harris, who is most famous for his electronic and production collaborations with Depeche Mode, The Smashing Pumpkins, Evanescence, AFI, Marilyn Manson, Avril Lavigne, Bush, and Billy Corgan’s solo projects, and Jeehun Hwang, an award-winning songwriter and video game, film, and TV composer. The tranquil and gorgeous “Don’t Give Yourself Away” video is just what any viewer will need to take them away from our chaotic existence.

Bon Harris, famed member of Nitzer Ebb, the popular 80’s club stunners and openers of the legendary Depeche Mode “Music for the Masses” tour, has teamed up with Jeehun Hwang to amass The Shadow Bureau, an electronic project that not only showcases the duo’s diverse terrain that encompasses an array of instruments and genres, but also employs the help of A-list musicians for each track! Some of you might have already received the duo’s “Axis of Envy” from us a few months ago that featured Wolfgang Flür, a member of the pioneering and highly-influential German electronic rock band Kraftwerk. Harris and Hwang now top themselves for this second single, joining forces with Curt Smith of Tears for Fears on the vocals in the refrains!

The Shadow Bureau continues on the brilliant path of tying each single release to high profile films. “Don’t Give Yourself Away” is inspired by the Australian film Griff The Invisible. The flick stars beloved HBO True Blood star Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse in the TB series) as the movie’s lead actor. Griff, office worker by day, superhero by night, has his world turned upside down when he meets Melody, a beautiful young scientist who shares his passion for the impossible. This cerebral and romantic film is the perfect setting for the equally atmospheric “Don’t Give Yourself Away.” However, this music video turns the typical movie/music video formula upside down by having scenes from the film become ghostly projections upon a choreographed dance performance. As the dancers perform their graceful motions and twists, the faces from the projection of the film end up being transposed with their own for a haunting and eerily majestic effect.
