To begin, let’s get one thing out of the way: Zāna is a stunning, brunette beauty. That said, this 20-year-old Berklee undergrad is much more than just a pretty face. Zāna is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who fuses Serbo-Croatian and Lebanese flavors into a unique and enticing sound she calls “gypsy-pop”. Her recent collaborations with Grammy Award winning producers Tim Mitchell (Shakira; Gloria Estefan; Bob Seger; Mandy Moore; and John Secada) and George Noriega (Shakira, Ricky Martin) have inspired her to officially launch her solo career. Seamlessly blending elements of pop, r&b, dance, and a touch of disco, with the aforementioned cultural sensibilities, “Into My Bed” is at once fresh and familiar, spicy and smooth. On top of an infectious production of dance beats, percussive flair, and bold bass grooves, Zāna’s soulful vocal performance captivates, leading us along from hook to hook. As a debut single, we couldn’t imagine a more satisfying introduction to the sound of Zāna.

The video begins with a brief shot of wind turbines slowly turning over a dusty desert landscape, before Zāna’s colorful, flowing garbs suddenly transport us to a vivid scene: Zāna singing to the camera atop a queen-sized bed submerged in the shallow end of a beautiful in-ground pool, surrounded by lush greenery. As the video continues, we are treated to shots of Zāna posing and singing in a variety of gorgeous locales, in a variety of exotic outfits and fantastic accessories, looking like a gypsy-pop star. Zāna eventually gets behind the wheel of a sports car and drives it back to the dusty location of the video’s initial shot. There she performs atop a stack of mattresses about 20 feet high, commanding you to “get out of my head, and dance, dance into my bed.” We predict Ms. Zāna will soon have a host of takers on this offer.
