Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just over a week away? As the big day draws closer we can’t help but feel incredibly thankful for all of the wonderful clients we’ve had over the years, from record labels big and small to independent artists from all over the globe. The music industry has continued to shift which means constant changes in how we run our business, but the good part is that there’s always new music videos for us to share with the world. The newest HIP Picks – Weekly Client Roundup video gives you the low-down on some of our current projects, and we’ll tell you a little bit about each one below.

When most people think of the harp, they think of classical music. But the instrument looks and sounds beautiful in any genre, and Kristy Chmura has brought the grace and beauty of the classical harp to modern pop and rock songs. “Nothing’s Right” is soothing and immersive, yet pained and emotionally bare. The video- directed by Rob Fitzgerald- takes place deep in the woods at the Schiff Nature Preserve in Mendham, New Jersey, as Chmura looks within and confronts herself from all angles.

Call it metal, or call it rock and roll: whatever you call it, there’s no doubt that Seattle’s own Arisen From Nothing will catch your attention. They’ve experienced their fair share of member changes but the band embraces a theme of redemption, and with their new record Broken (out now on Collective Wave Records) and the lead single “Chaos”, they’ve utilized the model of the phoenix to show how they’re now reborn as a rejuvenated force to be reckoned with. The “Chaos” music video shows the band’s aesthetic and killer shredding and face-melting abilities as they deliver their blistering message.

With a name that means “God’s Voice”, rapper GV is a man on a mission. His newest single “Tunnelz” shows he’s ready to be the voice of change in hip hop. It’s his most personal effort to date, as an old-school beat and futuristic delivery combine to back a mixture of social issues and the day-to-day realities of his life as an artist. The “Tunnelz” video is a cinematic masterpiece created by A1 Vision, and speaks directly to life in urban areas across the country.

While everyone knows that New York City is full of talent both big and small, it’s only recently that the attention is turning to the other side of the river. Jersey City, New Jersey is full of hardworking, aspiring artists and King Keon is its latest export. King Keon’s latest single “Picture Me” exemplifies his unique voice and strong cadence and delivery, and is a defiant statement to those scoping him out: he is “The King.” The “Picture Me” music video is an autobiographical clip in Jersey City, New Jersey, painting the picture of who King Keon truly is.
