A few years ago, we brought you a refreshing jam called “One Man’s Trash” by NYC’s Warren Wint. The video was a feel good romp that showcased the unique and exceptional talents of Warren. He puts out a sound that combines slick beats and a cadence and flow that are clearly the product of years of practice. This is the same talent that landed him a gig on the legendary 106 & Park on BET as a hype man, along with positive press by everyone from WWS Magazine to datPiff, and Coast2Coast.
Fast forward to 2015 and with his new single for “They Talkin” Warren has returned with a jam that sees an even more dedicated Wint transformed from a budding talent into a full blown star personality. His rhymes are precise and menacing as he calls out all of the fakers who talk a good game about big dollars and high rolling, but in reality are nothing more than a couple of posers. The back beat of the song is a slow burn with a synthesizer groove on top that pushes the song through with a haunting vibe. Of course, this is all just the foundation for Warren to spit his flow over the top of.
In the video, we get to see one of the subjects of Warren’s attention in full effect. Of course, this roll is played by Jack Thriller (G-Unit Comedian. ThisIs50.com, MTV’s Wild N’ Out), so we know he’s legit, but we’ll suspend reality for this one! You know the type, rolling into the high end car dealer trying to impress the lady by going right for the Land Rovers, the Mercedes, the BMW’s… And then telling her she’d look fine in a Honda Civic! He strings along the charade for as long as he can and out to the bar for the night but she’s not buying it, and she’s already got another plan in the works with some real players. As the story unfolds, Warren and his crew are posted up in the car dealer, delivering a live performance for the camera. The video also features Legendary Ralph McDaniels (Video Music Box), Rich Homie Quan (singles like Type of Way, Walk Thru feat. Problem, Flex) & Miz, Black & Leon from the popular Web series, Money & Violence (over 10 million views on Youtube in total) They’re providing a smooth narration for the video and giving notice that there are no fakes here. Warren Wint is the real deal.
