March has begun and spring has almost sprung! It’s a great day to check out new music, and our newest HIP Picks – Weekly Client Roundup is here- take a look at the videos, and learn more about the clips by reading below.

“Since You’ve Been Gone” Music Video: The High Plains Drifters (Pop/rock)

NYC group The High Plains Drifters may have an Old Western name, but their sound is totally modern. Their Christmas song “Santa! Bring My Girlfriend Back” was added to NPR Music’s “New Music Friday” playlist. They’ve followed it with a lyric video for “Since You’ve Been Gone”; Lars Jørgen Sundnes Skaland’s takes us way out in to space, where there’s plenty to marvel at.

“Yours to Stay” Music Video: Natalie Joly (Rock/pop)

A performer in New England for over a decade, Natalie Joly is an award-winning recording artist with over 7,500 YouTube Subscribers, over 60,000 Instagram followers, and over 6,000 followers on Facebook. Her Instagram videos have accumulated over 10 million views. “Yours to Stay” is the third single from her upcoming album, and its video (directed by Tanj) is the second of Joly’s to be filmed in an abandoned Wakefield mansion, now torn down.

“Hold On Me – Jack Rayner Remix” Music Video: Karma, Jack Rayner (EDM/pop)

Writing songs that run deep is second nature for Karma-Ann Swanepoele, known simply as Karma, who has been a creative force in South African pop-rock for more than a decade and is a pioneer in the LGBTQ community. Los Angeles-based producer Jack Rayner has remixed music for industry giants including Katy Perry and Britney Spears and worked on music for international series including American IdolAmerica’s Got Talent, and World Of Dance. The two collaborated for Jack’s remix of “Hold On Me”, and for its accompanying video (directed by by Jack Rayner, Karma), they’ve tapped Kalon B., lead dancer of Magic Mike Live Berlin and winner of South Africa’s Got Talent.

“Peace” Music Video: The Org (Hip-hop)

The Org are Newark rappers, and they make their love of God apparent in every verse they write. On “Peace”, they work Bible verses and prayers into their rhymes, shout out the Book of Philippians, and worry about the state of their immortal souls. The pair begin the video in the heart of Newark, showing us the places where it meets the rest of the NYC area and the spots that make it so special on its own.
