EK is a Hip Hop Artist Hailing from West Africa Nigeria, Currently Residing in Boston MA. With a natural ear for soulful and thought provoking lyrics, he has developed a sound that many find quite refreshing. With comparisons to some of the Hip hop greats, EK has maintained a ferocious stance on originality, and honesty that speaks volumes. His newest single for “Dress my Fears” leaves little to the imagination about what is on his mind, and he makes it clear that you are either down for social equality or you have a long way to go.

After coming to the United States in 2001, EK found it hard to adapt to a life with so many cultural differences. He found the universal voice of music as a comfort and connection to the ever changing road that lay ahead of him. His peers quickly took notice as he took the Boston music scene by storm, garnering praise for his mixtape Road 2 Stardom, and the follow-up Radio Friendly. His next effort is the Hands of Time EP, which is a collaboration with Ryan Sparker (Eli Reed) and Defend Music in Los Angeles. This kind of attention and clout doesn’t come easily, only to those artists with an original voice and sound. Today, we present you the new video for “Dress my Fears,” which is exactly that.

“Dress My Fears” is an unapologetic offering that goes straight for the jugular, calling out the small-minded, the hateful, the racist, the bigoted and everyone and anyone who that brings negativity to others. In recent years the subject of race and religion have flared up as hot button issues in this country, and rather than put a whitewashed spin on it and give it the P.C. approach, EK speaks from the heart and from his own experience. This gritty black and white video compliments the edginess of the video with perfect solitude, traversing the subterranean with a menacing authority. For added impact, a vintage talk show interview with Muhammed Ali bookends the video, with the legendary boxer speaking candidly about race and religion. His anecdote is lighthearted, but it shows the greater point that it is a complex issue that has gone unresolved for much longer than most would like to admit.

We are all very pumped to be working with EK to bring you this exceptional new video. It’s not every day that an artist of this caliber crosses your desks, so don’t miss out on the chance to support this artist!
