Grunge legends Pearl Jam emerged from Seattle’s explosive music scene in the early 1990s, becoming one of the defining voices of a generation. With their raw, unpolished sound and deeply introspective lyrics, the band—led by the iconic Eddie Vedder—became synonymous with authenticity in an industry often built on image. For years, we admired them from afar, never imagining we’d work with a band that famously shuns music videos. But in 2009, we were given the honor of promoting “The Fixer,” the lead single from their ninth studio album Backspacer.

The clip captures Pearl Jam in their most genuine form: sweaty, electric, and unrestrained in front of a roaring crowd. Lead vocalist Eddie Vedder—with his unmistakable baritone and magnetic stage presence—commands the room alongside guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament, and drummer Matt Cameron. No gimmicks, no elaborate sets. Just five musicians doing what they do best, reminding us why they’ve remained relevant for over three decades.

Rule-breakers by nature, Pearl Jam have never played by the industry’s handbook. They famously boycotted Ticketmaster, avoid interviews, and rarely make music videos. Yet this defiance may be exactly what has sustained their legendary career. With over 31.5 million records sold in the US and an estimated 60 million worldwide, their tenth studio album Lightning Bolt (2013) became their fifth consecutive number one debut on the Billboard 200.

To work with Pearl Jam on “The Fixer” wasn’t just another project—it was a privilege. Partnering with a band that defined an entire era of rock music remains one of our proudest accomplishments.
