Root notes that echo classic divas, such as Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner, explode with the raw energy that is reminiscent of 60s pop-rock sounds, not to mention the soul-driven energy of Amy Lynn & The Gunshow. Led by Amy and musical director Alex Hamlin, their music contains an undeniable 60s rock-infused sound, infectious horn blows, all the while collaborating the talents of these two musicians. To capture this vibe on the new record, they turned to producer Steve Greenwell (Joss Stone, Diane Birch) who masterfully pulled all of the pieces together into a single, dynamic product!

Together, and sometimes apart, Amy Lynn & The Gunshow have performed for audiences around the world. They have played with contemporary artists like Duffy, Yo La Tengo, Spoon, St. Vincent, Lucy Woodward, and The Radio City Orchestra. The single “Missing You” aired on the WB network’s show Big Easy Brides, and they have also been featured on radio stations broadcasted throughout the US, Canada, and Japan. The high energy of Amy Lynn & The Gunshow’s raw performances have brought them appearances at New York City’s top venues, including Highline Ballroom and The Bell House.

Director Brian Robinson, who has worked with Amy Lynn & The Gunshow on their previous single “Clearly It’s Me,” and choreographer Dylan Pearce send us on a whirlwind of emotion in the new clip “Don’t Trip on the Glitter.” Performing in her most raw and energetic style, Amy is once again in the spotlight, taking over every scene and putting her foot down to say the least. This tell-all song excites deep emotions that are clearly defined in the catchy lyrics. With a big chorus and punky beats, Amy Lynn’s classy vocals do a great deal of blending with this modern take on genres revisited.

Scenes filled with rich colors of paint in “Don’t Trip on the Glitter” express art as a form of release, and bring forth the true colors of Amy Lynn & The Gunshow.
