When faced with troubles of the heart, a forlorn woman may seek out a curandera to cast a special spell, sowing far more than just affection. With the right ingredients, she can bind a man’s will to the woman’s, turning him into her devoted companion, which is exactly what has befallen Embrujaste’s narrator. Raucous electric guitars and soaring harmonies amplify the intensity of his desire, while sensual, cinematic flourishes underscore the savage pull of his obsession.
