Last year we introduced you to the NYC artist named Sariah and her sexy and sensual rendition of “Santa Baby.” This multi-talented pop singer and dancer, aptly known as the Queen of Hearts, wowed audiences with her holiday EP which included adventurous twists on well’known holiday standards and the newly-penned, club-ready original “Only One Wish” which is sure to come back every year as a holiday annuity.

This time around she has pulled back the holiday spirit (for now) and is giving us a taste of what Sariah can do with a pure pop attack. Her work with big name producers such as Jeff Franzel (‘NSync, Taylor Dayne), Ru Samath, (Beyonce, Ke$ha) Russ Desalvo (Celine Dion, Lionel Richie) and others have sharpened her skills even further.  With her new single “Aware Alive Awake” Sariah is ready to release a fresh, sexy, and anthemic sound. “I bring everything I can to my music,” she says. “I want people to feel good. I want my music to heal, excite, and bring everyone together through all of their favorite emotions. I love that connection.”

For an artist that was born to perform and shine in the bright lights of the stage, it’s only appropriate that her new video for “Aware Alive Awake” would use the biggest stage in the world, Broadway, as its backdrop. The video revolves around an audition for a production also titled Aware Alive Awake. Shortly after a disgruntled aspiring actress leaves, Sariah enters the stage with authority and begins the reading opposite The Young Presidents’ Mitch Kaneff (The Young Presidents also serve as her backing band in the video). The dynamic between the two is intense and begins to feel like perhaps this was more than just an audition for Sariah. It feels like closure. And if it’s closure she wants, it’s closure she’ll get.
