Very Americans are an indie-rock band from Harrisburg, PA. Combining alternative rock influences and contemporary elements, the band carries somber, yet defined tunes. HIP Video Promo is pleased to introduce their video clip for the single “Floodgates.”

Ex-members of bands The Commercials, Junction, and Safari So Good, Very Americans consist of enigmatic bandmates who are creatively driven by artists such as Tom Petty, American Football, The Beach Boys, and Piebald. Their new EP titled Stereo Types was just recently released on Eulogy Recordings and Rock Paper Records.

The band teamed up with the legendary indie rock icon J Robbins, who put his magic into the mixing of Stereo Types. Consisting of four tracks, each song captures the essence of indie music through rich guitar solos and lyrics that come like ease for singer Rich Wise. With a recent appearance on The Artie Lange Show as well as touring in support of the release, the band has been promoting the new EP for inspired fans.

“Floodgates” serves as a teaser to the enticing Stereo Types EP. Contemporary scenes of black and white mixed with bursts of vibrant color excite and dramatize the tune. A combination of interesting camera angles and split screens show the original and unique live performance techniques of Very Americans. “Floodgates” has the flow of an ocean wave, and the clip compliments the very atmospheric vibe of the song.

The inspiring lyrics of “Floodgates” have a sing-a-long feeling that contemporary artists try to achieve. Very Americans has achieved this with indie-rock success.
