The Derelict Kicks
Never underestimate the power of the mighty, lick-heavy electric guitar, a steady, hard-hitting drumbeat and some genuinely catchy vocal hooks. In fact, when writing a song proclaiming your perpetual love for the ladies of the world, this is pretty much the only set-up you’ll ever need. Rising Cali-based garage rock duo, The Derelict Kicks, clearly understand this and may have written the strongest ‘ode to the ladies’ anthem since Motley Crue dropped “Girls, Girls, Girls” back in 1987. HIP Video Promo is stoked to present, “It’s All About The Girls.”

Far from taking themselves too seriously, the impressively well-shot video, directed by guitarist, vocalist and overall bandleader, Daniel Bernath, is to put it simply: completely hysterical. Set in an old school roller rink, circa 1981, the video is a throwback in the best way to those classic 80′s rock videos that were in high rotation when MTV was in it’s heyday. David Lee Roth originally combined campy comedy with devastatingly hot girls and raunchy rock goodness and The Derelict Kicks prove it’s still an undeniably entertaining combination. And in an age with more computer-generated(and often stale) music than ever before, these guys are like a breath of fresh air! Click here for the full bio.
