Metric’s video for “Gimme Sympathy,” which was an exhibit on Stereogum, looks pretty normal if you’re not paying attention. The band plays on a stage, blah blah blah. But wait. Look closer. Emily Haines is not a drummer! Or bassist. Or guitarist…or…or is she?
As Stereogum said, it’s a game of “musical instruments.”
