Contemporary indie artists have a way of telling stories within their music, and that is exactly what artist Zeke Duhon creates. With sounds that can be compared to those of Andrew Bird, Duhon’s music holds notes that ease through enlightenment that encompasses the contemporary scene of indie music today. HIP Video Promo introduces “Loved Me Too,” a song about relinquishing the beauty of memories and the hardships of lost love.

From Tulsa, Oklahoma, Zeke Duhon is at the ripe age of nineteen. His masterfully created style promotes his personal musical influences, such as Coldplay, Simon and Garfunkel, and Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes. As an unsigned artist on the rise, Zeke has been writing songs since the age of sixteen. With a developed fan base, this artist captures the essence of indie music.

His video for “Loved Me Too” is a well-rounded account of conjured memories and love that was too good to last. It  is a song that tells a story of how the mind can create images from the past, and it also tells how sometimes it is hard for us to let them go. We watch as Zeke walks into a house and is transformed into something of an image. There are movie reels projecting images of him and his lost love on the scene. We see them move about the house in ways that are comfortable and give a sense of loss. The song is somber, but there is so much truth in “Loved Me Too” that spills from the seams.

Video coming soon!
