JG Plants and Animals South By Southwest The New York Times Plants and Animals kick off tour tonight in Brooklyn, new album out in one week April 13, 2010February 28, 2017 admin Plants and Animals continue to fill our news feed. Not only is the countdown to La La Land down to exactly seven days, their live performances have been receiving tons of buzz. Following South By Southwest a couple of weeks ago, The New York Times‘ very own Jon Pareles noted on his Twitter that Plants and Animals was a top pick of his, later writing that during the band’s performance, they “had gnarled, multipart songs that started out tumultuous and built from there, tossing aside simplicity in favor of intensity.” If you’re one of the lucky few who has a ticket to tonight’s sold-out performance at Brooklyn’s Union Hall, you should definitely prepare yourself for just what Pareles is talking about. Not only are Plants and Animals sharing the stage with Ra Ra Riot, this is the show that kicks off the band’s three-month tour in support of La La Land. They’ll be in Canada for the greater part of April and the beginning of May, but they’ll be taking over the U.S. through June. A full list of tour dates follow after the jump.
