“DO WHAT IT DO”
July 24, 2015
Austin Texas based lyricist, Bryan Mitchell aka Doszastro aka D.O.S. (Dare Observe the Skills) has been consistently crafting and perfecting his brand of traditional raw edged hip hop since the age of seventeen. Although primarily growing up in Texas, D.O.S. spent a majority of his childhood and adolescent years back and forth between Texas and both sides of his families native Detroit, Michigan, taking in the music and influence everywhere he goes.
Over the years he has traveled the country, linking up with other artists to help hone his craft, eventually returning to Austin where he joined forces with Austin hip hop collective The SubKulture Patriots (a group which he is currently an active member), and San Antonio producer Ruler Why. His newest offering, Obey The Raw is a return to traditional Hip Hop in an age of “turn up” and “swag”, an ode to the golden era if you will… another bold offering from one of rap’s finest underdog MC’s. A perfect example of this aesthetic is the brand new single for “Do What It Do,” and the bombastic video counterpart.
The video for “Do What It Do” is all about the party and living up the real party scene of Austin. Up front, D.O.S. and his crew climb inside a Camaro limousine (we told you he did things his own way) where the libations are flowing and the lights bounce off the chrome like the world’s smallest dance club. Of course, any party with D.O.S. and co. is sure to blow up and as the video progresses the partygoers they attract on the streets take turns piling into the limo for the party. Naturally, some of the finest ladies are there along with his boys, and it’s all exceptionally captured on film. The party starts here, but where it ends nobody really knows!
We are very pleased to be working with D.O.S. to bring you this exceptional clip that you and your viewers are sure to love. We would love to do whatever we can to get this video into your programming, so please get in touch and let us know what we can do to make that happen.
