Fire to the Stars formed in Melbourne from a collection of Australians and ex-pat Swedes with a shared interest in Dead Can Dance, Grouper, My Bloody Valentine and pretty much anything coming out of New Zealand’s mythical Flying Nun records. Since their inception they’ve garnered widespread attention, including over 260,000 downloads of their Keep You Safe EP as well as being nominated for Best Alternative Band at the prestigious MusicOz Awards.

Their full length debut, Made of Fire, (out now on Seahorse Records), is a collection of glorious, cinematic melancholia, designed to simultaneously soothe and despair. Today, we’re incredibly excited bring you the title track and the arrestingly beautiful video along with it.

On top of their sonic brilliance, the band has been continually recognized for their unmatched efforts in the visual sphere as well. In 2015, their music videos for “Keep You Safe” and “Exhibitionist” picked up awards at the 2015 Accolade Global Film Competition and IndieFEST Film Awards.

“Made of Fire” continues with the group’s tradition of cinematically stunning music videos. Set in a variety of dimly lit, beautiful rooms and houses each with its own classic beauty, “Made of Fire” quietly moves from scene to scene, peering in on the private lives of humans of all varieties. Each one is the midst of some sort of internal dialogue, though it’s unclear what is on their minds. The viewer feels a certain sense of intimate intrusion, seeing each person in a unique state of vulnerability and solitude. There is a haunting beauty to the Matthew Chuang-directed clip, with Fire to the Stars creating the perfectly executed soundtrack.

It’s a huge honor to have the opportunity to work with such a stellar act like Fire to the Stars. Their sights and sounds true works of inspiring beauty, and we can’t wait to get them in front of your viewers.
