MR LOC FO REAL!
STAY FOCUS’D MUSIC
“BAY ANTHEM” FEAT. JAMESAH NOODLEZ
October 6, 2015
The Bay Area is a metropolis unlike any other in the USA. Sure, there are others that are as large, like NYC and LA, and there are others that are wildly diverse such as Austin or New Orleans, but nothing compares to the northern California when it comes to having such a massive range of cultures, identities, and influences as the Bay Area. Within its region you have the densely settled progressive haven of San Francisco, the exploding tech hub of San Jose and the Silicon Valley, the culturally rich and proudly blue-collar city of Oakland, and countless towns in between. It’s no wonder that the Bay Area has fostered every genre of music you can think of, from the Grateful Dead to Zion-I. Today, we want to introduce you to Mr. Loc Fo Real, an artist who encapsulates parts of all of these identities and proudly celebrates his home turf with his brand new music video for “Bay Anthem.”
Google employee by day, rapper by night, Mr. Loc Fo Real doesn’t consider himself to be following a single genre. He likes to think of himself as a well rounded “hybrid rapper.” Whether it be club, gangster, or whatever comes to mind, he’s not afraid to incorporate an eclectic blend of original beats, mainstream yet intricate elements, coupled with commanding heartfelt powerful vocals, all delivered and described with a smooth but big voice and sound. His stage presence, showmanship, and style of hip hop music are creating quite a buzz, landing him opening spots for artists such as Too Short, E 40, WestSide Connection, Ashanti, Trina, Baby Bash, Rappin 4 Tay, B Legit and others.
His new single for “Bay Anthem,” is a highly anticipated jam that is being dropped on 10/2, one that he likes to describe as an “inside peak on the Bay from an urban perspective.” For his new “Bay Anthem” video, Loc takes the viewer on a ridealong through the streets that he calls home. His brings along the dynamic Noodlez and Jamesah to guest on the track and the three of them each give their own unique piece of the puzzle. Of course we’re treated to a trove of fast cars and beautiful women, and we also see everything from the grandeur of the Bay Bridge over Treasure Island to the Coit Tower overlooking San Francisco all the way down to the streets of Oakland, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Campbell and more. It’s a lesson on civic pride for the uninitiated and a tour that Mr. Loc Fo Real is happy to personally deliver.
We’re very psyched to be working with this hustling new artist making a huge name for himself on the west coast, and soon to be everywhere! If there is anything at all we can do here at HIP Video Promo to get the video into your programming, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
