Dum Dum Girls
The Dum Dum Girls released their debut full-length, I Will Be, two weeks ago, and it’s already proving to be a stand-out. It debuted at No. 15 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart, which is just awesome. Keep an eye out for the Dum Dum Girls’ lead video, “Jail La La,” which we’ll be bringing to you first.

Also, the Dum Dum Girls and fellow Sub Pop labelmates The Album Leaf will be participating in the third annual Record Store Day, set for this Saturday. Sub Pop will be releasing limited edition albums from the two bands. In addition, a slew of other HIP clients — such as Flight of the Conchords, Iron & Wine and Grand Archives — will have tracks in SP20: Casual Nostalgia Fest, a CD of Sub Pop’s favorite performances during the two-day festival when the label celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2008. You can check out more info on Sub Pop’s hand in Record Store Day here and here.
