Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting up with some of our cherished clients to film a video interview that helps viewers get to know the artist as well as learn more about their new music video. Previously called “The HIP Clip”, these videos allow us to help connect artists with the world, as we give some insight and inside information into who they are and the music and videos they make.

Back in 2003, Mick Jones (The Clash, Big Audio Dynamite) and Tony James (Generation X, Sisters Of Mercy, Sigue Sigue Sputnik) got together to form Carbon/Silicon. It wasn’t even their first collaboration: they’d previously made music together in London SS. Carbon/Silicon combines punk rock/rock-and-roll energy with an excitement for new technologies and a fan-friendly web presence. We worked with them to promote the video for “The News” back in 2007, from The News EP released that year. In January 2008, we shared this HIP Clip video interview, where they told us all about their new album The Last Post, using technology to make and release music, and the making of the “The News” music video. Check it out below!

And while you’re at it, watch Carbon/Silicon’s music video for “The News” below.
