Hip-hop is one of the most popular musical genres out there – and with so many diversely talented artists, we can see why! We’re thrilled to work with many talented artists across the hip-hop, rap, and R&B scenes. The latest HIP Picks – Weekly Client Roundup is here; take a look at the videos, and learn more about the clips by reading below.

“Ask Around” Music Video: Tyte x Wizz Havinn (rap)

Coming from Tallahassee, Florida, Tyte has an instantly identifiable voice and a dedicated community of fans ready to get excited and spread the word. “Ask Around”, his breakthrough single, features Wizz Havinn. It’s paired with a smoky, sizzling, and immensely entertaining clip shot by frequent Slip N Slide collaborator Counterpoint 2.0.

“Birkin” Music Video: The Real Meladee (hip-hop)

A Hermes Birkin bag is the hottest of commodities – a must-have for the stylish and a thing to be coveted by up-and-comers. On her first single “Birkin”, Tallahassee rapper The Real Meladee makes it clear that one Birkin isn’t enough: she wants three. The glittering, gorgeous “Birkin” video was directed by frequent Slip N Slide collaborator, Counterpoint 2.0.

“Jazz Men” Music Video: Shaheed and DJ Supreme (hip-hop)

Shaheed & DJ Supreme have flexed their talent alongside Scarface, Jurassic Five, and The Jungle Brothers. “Jazz Men” features jazz guitarist Eric Essix, and pays a funky tribute to the influence of jazz on hip-hop. The “Jazz Men” video (directed by Richard Giles) sees the three jazz men lounging and enjoying each other’s company – and the music.

“Something to Ride To” Music Video: Shaheed and DJ Supreme (hip-hop)

With their recent album The Art of Throwing Darts, Birmingham, AL duo Shaheed & DJ Supreme are sharing their progression of thoguht and sound. Their newest single, “Soemthing to Ride To”, features Lauren Strain. The video (directed by Richard Giles) follows Shaheed and DJ Supreme through their community as they enlighten fellow drivers (and BMXers!) to the joy of the ride.

“Take You Home” Music Video: Benjamin Race ft. Ellison Kendrick (soul/R&B)

UK-based neo-soul producer Benjamin Race has been at it almost since birth. He’s collaborated with a host of talents – including Ellison Kendrick, who features on the infectious R&B bop, “Take You Home”, which was recorded at the world’s most famous recording studio: Abbey Road. Directed by Race himself, the video invites viewers to join Kendrick exploring his stomping grounds on Ocean Drive in the Art Deco District of Miami.
