clients in quarantine - tom misch nicky romero hollis brown chelzzz pinegrove

While we stay home to flatten the curve, our usual schedule melts into an undivided day. Many of us are accomplishing all our responsibilities from the comfort of our in-home desk. Our sleeping and eating schedules are now a free-for-all, and spending excessive time indoors is causing many of us to lose it. Thankfully, many of the HIP clients have found ways to entertain themselves and their audiences digitally.

Alt/R&B musician Tom Misch began doing quarantine sessions on YouTube where he jams out in his house solo. His recent episode is a cover of Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky”; Misch sits in his garden and lets the smooth guitar cloak viewers in a soft and glowing version of Solange’s classic.

Hollis Brown, a rock band from Queens, New York, set up a creative arrangement to still perform as musicians and bring in an income. They decided to host live-streams on Patreon, a subscription-based service that brings fans various levels of exclusive content depending on their membership.

Nicky Romero, a fundamental name in the electronic world, is bringing his energetic progressive house sets online in a weekly series called “Follow the Protocol.” He is taking advantage of the streaming platform Twitch and is including live sessions and Q&As in his regular episodes. He even has special guests like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Afrojack joining him!

Miami rapper Chelzzz uses the quarantine as a way to promote her new music video and interact with viewers at the same time. She’s asking fans to show off their quarantine activities while streaming her latest video, “Show & Tell.” In return, the winner with the best video will receive Chelzzz merchandise. Enter the giveaway on her Instagram, @TheRealChelzzz.

Although the indie-rock band Pinegrove had to postpone their upcoming tour, they found a way to update fans with music on social media. They have taken to Instagram Live to play a few songs to make up for their lack of live shows. You can catch the streams by following @Pinegroveband.

Here at HIP, we are enjoying the creativity and social responsibility of all our artists! They’re breaking up our dull days with a lot of energetic live streams, interactions, and beautiful music. As they continue to inspire their fans online, they are helping to contain the pandemic all over the globe.
