Andrew Wendowski - music festival

The weather is warming and the sun is staying out past six in the evening, which means we’re shaking off the winter chills and are gearing up for the best season: festival season! Music festivals have become a major hot spot on bucket lists and we’ve curated a list of the ones you cannot miss this summer.

Bonnaroo – Manchester, TN – June 13-16 – Bonnaroo is the pioneer for music festivals across the country. Every music festival junkie has or is going to be on the farm eventually. This annual four-day festival, held by Superfly Presents and AC Entertainment, features some of the biggest acts across the country including The Lumineers, The National, Nahko and Medicine for the People, and Hippo Campus. If you’re looking for that classic music festival experience, then Bonnaroo is the place to be.

Shaky Knees – Atlanta, GA – May 3-5 – At this rock lovers paradise, Shaky Knees brings over 60 bands to Central Park in Atlanta. The food options at Shaky Knees are no joke, from southern BBQ to vegetarian corn dogs, you’ll be eating food from local vendors to trucks that hail throughout the southeast. The artists on this lineup include Black Lips, Pedro the Lion, Slothrust, Julia Jacklin, and Liily.

BottleRock – Napa Valley, CA – May 24-26 – This well-established west coast festival knows how to draw the crowd each year. Besides booking the prominent classic names in rock, indie, and pop; BottleRock takes advantage of their Napa Valley venue grounds and turns this festival into a food and drink fair as well. So if you’re interested in seeing Flogging Molly and Against Me! while drinking fresh wine and craft beers and cocktails, then BottleRock is where you are meant to be.

Electric Zoo – New York, NY – Aug 30-Sep 1 – Electric Zoo is one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the North East, meaning tickets go quick. Established in 2009 by Made Event, EZOO doesn’t hold back in any subgenre of EDM and this year their theme is: Evolved. Dance to internationally recognized names like Armin Van Buuren and Tritonal.

Boston Calling – Allston, MA – May 24-26 – Taking place at the Harvard Athletic Complex, Boston Calling brings the best mix of all genres. Three stages, three days and a 100-foot Ferris wheel to watch the festival from above, the only thing Boston is calling is you. Catch artists like White Reaper and Chromeo.
